1. Experience History - This is where America was born. You can visit Boston, Salem and Plymouth Rock.
2. Lighthouses - There are more than 150 lighthouses in New England. There are a few that you can go inside and tour. One is the Portland Head Light in Cape Elizabeth, Maine. It's open from sunrise to sunset most of the year. It was built in 1787 and was lit with 16 whale oil lamps.
3. Fenway Park, Boston - It's one of the oldest baseball fields. Built in 1912. It's hosted the Boston Red Sox, concerts, religious and cultural events. Tours available.
4. Acadia National Park - Established in 1916 and is the oldest national park east of the Mississippi. Bar Harbor is the coastal town with lots of restaurants, shops and bars.
5. Seafood - Eat a lobster roll. Have some fresh mussels. Fried Clams. There's a plethora of roadside seafood shacks, restaurants and fine dining.
6. Visit a Beach - Cape Cod, Hampton Beach, Kennebunk, York and Martha's Vineyard. There are so many to choose from and many different vibes.
7. Museums - The Harvard Natural History museum (Boston MA), The Farnsworth (Rockland ME), The New England Aquarium (Boston MA) and Strawberry Banke Museum (Portsmouth NH)
